UNITA trains MPs on State Budget

Viana – The parliamentary group of the opposition UNITA party held on Saturday in Viana Municipality, Luanda Province, a seminar on the State General Budget proposal (OGE), with a view to training its deputies for a better interaction in the National Assembly.

Opening the event, UNITA’s first deputy whip, Albertina Navita Ngolo Felisberto, said the participants will analyse the State Budget Draft for 2023 in terms of its principles and rules, as well as the way it was drawn up by the Angolan government.

The MP added that the deputies, advisors, assistants and officials will analyse in depth the budget allocations in terms of revenues and spending.

The seminar discussed: “The principles and rules for drawing up the State Budget and its priorities,” “Vision on allocation of resources of the State Budget for 2023: prospects for revenues and spending by functions, sectors, bodies by territory, public investment programmes and projects.

“The weight of public debt in the 2023 State Budget and its inter-generational impact” was also one of the topics discussed.

The seminar was attended by top figures of UNITA party.
