USD Two billion power station investment for Benguela

Luanda The Association of Economic Development Africa Korea (AKEDA) will finance USD two billion for the construction of a power station in southern Benguela province.

This amount is part of the global figure that the association plans to mobilize five billion dollars to invest in the most varied partnership projects with the Angolan State.

This information was released to the press in Luanda, by the AKEDA general secretary, Chung-Siwod in the ambit of the signing of a memorandum of understanding with the Agency for Private Investment and Promotion of Exports (AIPEX) for promotion and caption of Direct Foreign Investment.

Chung-Siwod recognized the existence of particular interest to invest in fields of energy, oil refining (refinery), small and medium-sized enterprises as well as in agro-business.

The AKEDA is represented in 38 african countries. We have particular interest in working with the Angolan authorities because Angola is located in a strategic region of Africa and with a promising future economy, said the official.
