Women’s football team preparing to face Congo Brazzaville

Luanda The physical recovery coordination and tactical principles are the focus of the senior females football pre team for the April 7th match with Congo Brazzaville which is the first leg game to qualify for the African Championship in December.

Held in 11 de Novembro stadium in Luanda which is going to be the venue of the game with the Congolese ladies last Monday afternoon’s preparations marked the return to the works that are already in the third phase under the management of former international player Maninho Loide.

Talking to ANGOP the national coach affirmed that he is aware of the difficulties to meet since the opponent is Congo a country also with a tradition in womens football and with a greater national tournament unlike Angola which is in the recovery phase.

Meanwhile according to the former midfielder of 1� de Agosto and of the national team the players are encouraged to win the race at home and to complete the elimination in the opponents field.

The national team have been in the African Nations Cup (CAN2020) on two occasions namely in 2002 in Nigeria (debut) having ended up in the 5th position and in 2009 in Namibia where the squad were eliminated in the initial phase.

The CAN2020 will be held from 23 November to 20 December this year in a country to be indicated by the African Football Confederation.
