Tunisian runner Mohamed Amine Jhinaoui secured a berth in the finals of the 3000-metre steeplechase on Saturday after clinching the third spot in Group B with a time of 8:24.20 at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest, Hungary.
His countryman Ahmed Jaziri fell short of qualifying as he finished tenth in Group A with 8:29. 81.
The final showdown is scheduled for August 22.
