Cuito – The acting governor of Bié province, António Manuel, reiterated today in Cuito city, the importance of the youth to preserve and perpetuate the noblest ideals of the nation, namely the independence, peace and national reconciliation.
The vice governor, who was speaking during the provincial act of the 15th of January, dedicated to the Former Combatant and Homeland Veteran, asked the youth to avoid vandalism, violence, political intolerance and other behaviours that undermine the harmony of families.
To this end, he invited the youth to strengthen the feeling of love for the homeland, betting on scientific research, teaching, agriculture, industry and others, to achieve social progress.
He also asked the youth to respect the common good and the State property, conquered with much sacrifice.
On the other hand, he advanced that the Government of Bié is working with the other multi-sectorial organs, in order to encourage the emergence of new agricultural cooperatives and other income-generating projects in favour of the welfare of the old combatants and veterans of the motherland.
