Tunis: The National Centre of Cinema and Image (CNCI) announced film projects selected by the Italian-Tunisian commission for assistance to the development of cinematographic works for 2023-2024.

The list includes three co-production projects with each receiving a grant of TND 50,000.

These films are: “La femme assise dans le couloir” by Lotfi Achour, “Nino” by Walid Fellah and “Il Corrieri de Tunisi” a documentary by Aida Chamekh.

By virtue of an agreement signed on May 2018 in Cannes between the CNCI and the Directorate General for Cinema and Audiovisual at the Italian Ministry of Culture (DGC-MIC), a bilateral development aid fund was set up to encourage Tunisian-Italian feature film co-productions.

The fund is designed to provide non-repayable co-development grants to film projects that fall within the scope of the Tunisian-Italian film co-production agreement signed on October 29, 1988.
