Lubango: Eight people, including three famous young Kuduro musicians, were seriously injured in a road accident that occurred around 6:00 AM on Sunday in the Industrial Zone of Lubango city, in Angolan southern province of Hula. Among the victims, all taken to the Lubango Central Hospital 'Dr. Ant³nio Agostinho Neto', are Mirelson King, son of Nagrelha, Pequeno Chaba, and the well-known 'Joo Louren§o do Kuduro'.
According to Angola Press News Agency, the accident involved a Toyota Land Cruiser HZ vehicle, which veered off the road and crashed into a fixed obstacle in the Lubango Industrial Zone. The police point to driver fatigue and excessive speed as preliminary causes, as they were leaving a musical performance organized in the Tchioco neighborhood, on the outskirts of the city, which had ended around 5:00 AM.
The injured were admitted to Lubango Central Hospital with leg fractures and traumatic brain injury, according to the medical staff, who stated that the clinical condition of the injured is "reserved." The accident also caused material damage to the vehicle involved and to a public lighting pole.
