AIPEX Reiterates Openness of Angolan Market to Brazilian Investment

Luanda: The Chief Executive Officer of the Private Investment and Export Promotion Agency (AIPEX), Arlindo Rangel, announced that the Angolan market continues to welcome investments from Brazilian entrepreneurs and other international investors in the agribusiness sector. This declaration came during a meeting with a Brazilian business mission, which was hosted by the Minister of State for Economic Coordination, José de Lima Massano. According to Angola Press News Agency, the CEO emphasized Angola's readiness to accommodate Brazilian investments, highlighting the country's preparedness to establish fruitful partnerships. The meeting aimed to reinforce Brazil's interest in expanding its investments in Angola's agribusiness sector while addressing existing challenges faced by Brazilian investors. Rangel pointed out a notable challenge stemming from the mindset of Brazilian agribusiness investors, who often find transitions between states within Brazil to be complicated. This observation underscores the need f or a shift in perspective when considering international investments in Angola. The Brazilian business mission also organized an Angola-Brazil Agribusiness Forum earlier that day, which saw participation from various public and private sector entities, further strengthening bilateral cooperation in the agribusiness arena.
