Durban: The Bishop of the Anglican Church in Angola, Augusto Domingos, has urged citizens in the Uge province to actively participate in the electoral data updating process. This appeal was made by the bishop on Monday, as he emphasized the importance of preparing for the upcoming 2027 general elections.
According to Angola Press News Agency, Bishop Domingos made his call to action after personally updating his information at the Single Public Service Desk (BUAP) at the Uge Municipal Administration. This act was intended to set an example for citizens and highlight the significance of electoral participation.
The bishop stated, "We would like to appeal to every citizen to update their electoral registration, in fulfilment of their civic duty." He stressed that updating electoral registration is not only an individual obligation but also a collective civic responsibility. Bishop Domingos highlighted that addressing the challenges facing the country requires shared responsibility among all citizens.
