Angola and Spain Strengthen Cooperation on Consular Matters

Luanda: The Institute of Angolan Communities Abroad and Consular Services (ICAESC) and the Ibero-American University Foundation (FUNIBER) of Spain met in Luanda on Monday to discuss mechanisms for strengthening cooperation on consular matters and facilitating the international mobility of professionals and specialists. According to Angola Press News Agency, the meeting was led by ICAESC Director-General Maria Filomena do Rosário and FUNIBER President Santos Gracia Villar. They evaluated ways to improve consular procedures and strengthen institutional coordination in accordance with Angolan legislation. Director Maria Filomena do Rosário reaffirmed ICAESC's commitment to modernizing consular services and improving the assistance provided to citizens and partner institutions. FUNIBER President Santos Gracia Villar emphasized the importance of institutional cooperation in driving training initiatives and strengthening relations between Angola and Spain. In Angola, FUNIBER collaborates with the government o n professional training, notably by supporting the establishment of the International University of Cuanza (UNIC) in Bié and developing a scholarship program for bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees at universities within its international network.
