Seoul: Angola participated on Thursday (22), in the city of Seoul, South Korea, in the commemorative ceremony of "Africa Day", held in advance due to issues based on diplomatic agendas.
According to Angola Press News Agency, the event, organized by the Group of African Ambassadors accredited to that country, was attended by South Korean leaders, diplomatic corps and businesspeople.
It reports that the Angolan delegation, led by Ambassador Sianga Ablio, represented Angola with dignity, with the presentation of "tourism potential, exhibition of cultural aspects such as fashion show, dance and cuisine, in addition to the exhibition of Made in Angola products".
The celebration of Africa Day in Seoul also included a "Business Forum", an event that served as an opportunity for diplomatic missions to raise awareness of the potential and business opportunities in African countries.
On the occasion, Angola presented a video with images and information about the country's potential, tourism aspects and its development.
The Angolan exhibition area was visited by several business people interested in obtaining additional information about the country and, during the interaction with them, Ambassador Sianga Ablio scheduled several meetings to welcome them, within the framework of economic diplomacy and reiterate the range of opportunities that Angola offers.
Africa Day is celebrated on the African continent and in other parts of the world, in allusion to the date of the founding of the Organization of African Unity, now the African Union, on May 25, 1963.
