Angola Central Bank Launches New Digital Platforms at FILDA 2026

Luanda: The National Bank of Angola (BNA) launched two new platforms for digital inclusion and modernization on Tuesday in Icolo e Bengo, marking the opening of the 41st edition of the Angola International Fair (FILDA) 2026.

According to Angola Press News Agency, BNA Governor Manuel Tiago Dias explained that the digital platforms allow consumers of financial products and services to register, track, and manage their complaints directly with the regulator. He noted that the banking customer service portal serves as an access point for users to check their credit history or any recorded defaults.

The official also highlighted the importance of the Angola International Fair (FILDA) for the country's economic transformation and the growth of its business sector. He indicated that the fair boosts domestic production and reduces reliance on imports, serving as a showcase for the dynamism of Angola's non-oil sector and encouraging new private investment models to accelerate the diversification of the national economy.

Manuel Dias emphasized that the central bank is using the country's largest business expo to promote and consolidate various support services for the business sector, geared toward the real economy with a focus on agribusiness and manufacturing. According to the BNA Governor, business owners can find guidance at the fair on modernizing payment systems and facilitating commercial transactions, thereby boosting small entrepreneurs and fostering their solid integration into the financial system.

FILDA 2026 establishes itself as a venue for promoting national production, innovation, and business internationalization, as well as for attracting investment to Angola. Running until the 26th of this month, the event is held under the theme "Produce and Innovate Locally, Win Globally" and features the participation of 2,348 national and international exhibitors.
