Angola Paralympic Football Team Appoints First Foreign Coach

Luanda: Turkish coach Mehmet Kiskaç has been appointed to lead Angola's national adapted football team ahead of the World Cup in Mexico in November, the Angolan Paralympic Committee (CPA) has confirmed. This appointment marks the first time Angola's amputee football squad, the 2019 African champions, will be managed by a foreign coach. According to Angola Press News Agency, Kiskaç succeeds Angolan manager Augusto Baptista 'Chieto'. Under Baptista's leadership, the national team secured a World Championship title in Mexico in 2018, followed by a continental trophy on home soil in Benguela province in 2019. The upcoming tournament is scheduled to take place from November 12 to 23 in Mexico.
