Angola Showcases Tourism Potential in Europe

Madrid: Angola's tourism potential, focusing on the tourist development centers of Cabo Ledo, Calandula, Okavango Region, and Mussulo, began to be showcased on Wednesday in Madrid, Spain, through an Angolan delegation led by the Minister of Tourism, Márcio Daniel. According to Angola Press News Agency, the Angolan delegation is set to hold meetings with major players in the hospitality industry, tour operators, and businesspeople in the Spanish capital, where the largest International Tourism Fair (FITUR 2025) is taking place from the 21st to the 26th of the current month. This event also coincides with the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the World Tourism Organization, of which Angola has been a member since 1989. Minister Márcio Daniel highlighted that Angola's participation in this tourism business exchange serves as a significant opportunity to engage with large international operators, including the Meliá Hotels International, RIU Hotels and Resorts, NH Hotel Group, and IBEROSTAR Group. Beyond Spain, the Angolan delegation, comprising officials from the Ministry of Tourism, will also travel to London, United Kingdom, for meetings with DAR Engineering, a company specialized in Engineering and Project Management. DAR is a key partner in implementing Angola's National Tourist Planning Plan and the Tourist Development Plan for Mussulo Island, a recently recognized site of interest and tourist potential. The delegation will further proceed to Frankfurt, Germany, for discussions with the Kleber Group, a tour operator specializing in the management of tourist destinations and product development. The German company is expected to present critical insights on statistics, travel trends, and marketing strategies for the DACH segment, encompassing Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Angola's initiatives in these European countries aim to attract new international partners interested in investing in its burgeoning tourism sector.
