Luanda: Angola is set to conduct public tenders for external admission in May, aiming to fill 661 vacancies across three ministerial departments, three public institutes, and the Luanda Science Centre (CCL). These departments include the Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas, alongside institutes such as the National Coffee Institute of Angola (INCA), the Geographic and Cadastral Institute of Angola (IGCA), and the National Institute of Roads of Angola (INEA).
According to Angola Press News Agency, the announcement was made by Sandra Alves, the president of the Board of Directors (PCA) of the National School of Public Policy Administration (ENAPP) during the first National Meeting of Women Presidents of the Boards of Directors in Luanda. The event was organized by the Ministry of Public Administration, Labor and Social Security (MAPTSS) as part of the March/Women's Days celebrations.
In addition to the upcoming tenders, Alves noted that seven other public entrance tenders are currently in progress to fill 231 vacancies for the year 2025. Moreover, the certification of candidates who have filled vacancies at the Angolan Private Investment and Export Promotion Agency (AIPEX) is scheduled for Thursday.
Alves also discussed the role of ENAPP, which is dedicated to training 20,000 staff annually for various levels of state administration. Last year, the institution surpassed its target by training 27,706 staff members, demonstrating its capacity and commitment to administrative reform and investment in human capital.
The meeting underscored the strategic role of women in governance, focusing on promoting critical reflection, sharing best practices, and enhancing female leadership in corporate governance. Alves encouraged the presidents of the boards of directors to actively contribute to improving governance standards and delivering tangible results.
The National Meeting of Presidents of the Board of Directors (ENPCA) is promoted by MAPTSS through ENAPP, under the theme 'women in corporate governance: leading, deciding and transforming', providing a platform for strategic reflection, experience exchange, and reinforcing female commitment in decision-making bodies.
