Luanda: Angola will participate, starting Monday, in Seoul, Republic of Korea, in the meeting of Ministers of External Relations and Foreign Affairs of African countries and South Korea, aimed at strengthening political dialogue and multilateral cooperation between the parties. The Angolan delegation is headed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, T©te Ant³nio, who arrived in the South Korean capital in the early hours of Monday to represent the country at the meeting.
According to Angola Press News Agency, the meeting brings together officials from African and South Korean diplomacy with the objective of deepening cooperation relations and identifying new opportunities for strategic partnership in areas such as trade, investment, technological innovation, sustainable development, education, health, and digital transition. The event takes place in an international context marked by complex global challenges, which require coordinated responses and the strengthening of international partnerships.
Relations between the Republic of Korea and African countries have seen significant progress in recent years, based on cooperation geared towards sustainable development, mutual benefit, and the deepening of political and economic ties. In this context, Angola's participation reaffirms the country's commitment to active diplomacy, aimed at consolidating strategic partnerships and promoting national interests internationally.
Located in the southern part of the Korean Peninsula, the Republic of Korea shares a land border only with North Korea. The country is bordered by the Sea of Japan to the east, the Korea Strait to the south, and the Yellow Sea to the west.
