Angolan First Lady Highlights Technological Initiatives at ANGOTIC-2026

Luanda: Angolan First Lady, Ana Dias Louren§o, on Friday visited the ANGOTIC-2026 - the largest technology forum taking place in Luanda. Accompanied by the Minister of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication, M¡rio Oliveira, the First Lady toured several stands, notably those of the National Space Program Management Office (GGPEN), Angola Telecom, and the multinational Huawei.

According to Angola Press News Agency, during the visit, Ana Dias Louren§o also visited the Kandengue Digital zone, where she closely observed initiatives aimed at children, focusing on programming, robotics, and technological training. In the space, she interacted with creative children and young people in activities focused on innovation related to the telecommunications sector.

The First Lady of the Republic also visited the stands of the National Radio of Angola (RNA), the Angolan Post Office, some startups, as well as the exhibition of the Communications Museum. Opened on Thursday by the Minister of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication, M¡rio Oliveira, the 6th edition of the Angola International Information and Communication Technologies Forum (ANGOTIC) runs until Saturday, under the motto "On the Road to Digital Transformation."

Initiated by the Ministry of Telecommunications, Information Technologies and Social Communication (MINTTICS), ANGOTIC - Angola ICT FORUM is the main Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) event in Angola, which annually brings together companies, startups, experts, academics, and government institutions in a space for innovation, debate, and networking. The event aims to boost the country's digital transformation, promoting technological solutions that strengthen strategic sectors, from connectivity and cybersecurity to artificial intelligence and digital government.

The forum serves as a platform for knowledge exchange, presentation of innovations, and encouragement of digital entrepreneurship, bringing together the main actors in the national and international technological ecosystem. This year's edition is expected to attract 20,000 visitors, surpassing the 10,000 of 2025.
