Luanda: Angolan Head of State Joo Louren§o on Monday expressed his sorrow over the death of Hafidh Ameir Hassan, husband of the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Samia Suluhu Hassan, who passed away today following an illness.
According to Angola Press News Agency, in a message addressed to the Tanzanian stateswoman, President Joo Louren§o said he had learned with profound sadness of the death of Hafidh Ameir Hassan, the husband and lifelong companion of Samia Suluhu Hassan.
In view of this loss and the profound grief and mourning it has caused, he extended, on behalf of the Angolan Government and in his own name, his deepest condolences to President Samia Suluhu Hassan, her children and other bereaved family members, as well as to the Tanzanian people.
He further stated that, in the face of this tragic event, strength should be found 'so that you may draw some comfort from the memories of all the moments you shared together and from the solidarity of those who share with you the pain of this irreparable loss'.
