Brazzaville: Angolan Head of State Joo Louren§o will travel Thursday to Brazzaville to witness the investiture of Denis Sassou Nguesso for a new five-year term as president of the Republic of Congo.
According to Angola Press News Agency, the Secretary of the President of the Republic for Institutional Communication and Press Affairs, Lus Fernando, stated that President Joo Louren§o will travel to the Congolese capital, a few hours before the official event.
Lus Fernando added that the inauguration ceremony will take place in a football stadium and will be attended by thousands of people, including figures from political life, diplomacy, economics, among other areas, both national and foreign.
The Angolan Head of State is scheduled to return to the country on the same day, shortly after completing this short mission to Brazzaville, which will focus on participating in the investiture ceremony.
