Luanda: Angolan Linara Costa has become the first African woman to obtain an International Mixed Martial Arts Federation (IMMAF) referee license. This milestone was achieved during the World Championships held in Tbilisi, Georgia, where several national teams, including Angola, participated. According to Angola Press News Agency, Costa's accomplishment marks a significant moment for Angola, as the country now has two IMMAF-recognized international referees, Linara Costa and Jair Yoba. This makes Angola the first African nation to achieve such a distinction in the realm of international refereeing. In addition to this achievement, Angola's senior and junior national teams have advanced to the semifinals, securing their places on Monday at the World Championships.
