Angolan MPs Participate in 8th Paris Peace Forum


Paris: A delegation of Angolan National Assembly MPs led by MP Vig­lio Tyova are taking part in the 8th edition of the Paris Peace Forum, which takes place from October 29 to 30 under the motto “New Coalitions for Peace, for People, and for the Planet.”



According to Angola Press News Agency, the delegation includes MPs Jos© Semedo and Clarice Mukinda, as well as the Angolan Ambassador to France, Guilhermina Prata.



The forum, which is taking place at the Mus©e de l’Homme, brings together political leaders, representatives of international organizations, and members of civil society. The goal is to promote dialogue and find joint solutions to global challenges related to peace, security, and sustainable development.



During the opening session, participants reaffirmed the importance of multilateralism and international cooperation in building a more peaceful and balanced world. Angolan MPs participated in parallel sessions on topics related to the reform of multilateral institutions and the fight against climate change.



The Angolan parliamentary and diplomatic delegation’s participation in these sessions reinforces Angola’s commitment to the global climate agenda and building a low-carbon economy in line with sustainable development goals.



Established in 2018, the Paris Peace Forum is a platform for dialogue that promotes peace, international cooperation, and balanced development among nations.
