Brasília: The Angolan Parliament Speaker, Carolina Cerqueira, will participate as a guest in the 10th Summit of the G20 Parliament presidents, scheduled to take place from November 6 to 8 in Brasília.
According to a press release ANGOP had access to, the event will occur under the theme “Parliaments for a Fair World and a Sustainable Planet,” aiming to foster debates on combating hunger, poverty, and inequality.
The note indicates that the summit will also focus on promoting social and environmental development and discussing a fair and inclusive ecological transition. Additionally, it will address the need for global governance that is responsive to the challenges of the 21st century.
Participants will explore how parliaments can contribute to defining policies that ensure food and nutritional security for populations. At the conclusion of the summit, a consensus-based document is expected to be produced and presented to the G20 Leaders’ Summit, which is set for November 18 and 19 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazi
