Luanda: Considerable quantities of various goods from Angola to Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) were seized last weekend by the Fiscal and Customs Police in Luvo municipality, Zaire Province, for alleged tax evasion. The spokesperson for the National Police in Zaire, Superintendent Lus Bernardo, told ANGOP on Tuesday that the seized goods included 130 boxes of biscuits, 7 bales of second-hand clothing, 55 bags of plaster for civil construction and 67 consignments of flip-flops.
According to Angola Press News Agency, the goods were seized in the areas of Pedra-2 and €š¬°bola, as well as along clandestine routes leading to the DRC. During the operation, 3 abandoned three-wheeled motorcycles were recovered from the bush. The goods were handed over to the General Tax Administration (AGT) in Luvo municipality for the appropriate legal procedures.
