Algiers: The President of the Republic, Joo Louren§o, learned on Tuesday about the workings of the National School of Artificial Intelligence (ENSIA), the main Algerian institution of higher education dedicated to artificial intelligence and data science. The visit to the institution is part of the official visit that the Angolan Head of State has been making to Algeria since Monday, with a view to strengthening historical relations and bilateral cooperation between the two countries.
According to Angola Press News Agency, ENSIA, located in the new Sidi Abdellah technology hub, presents itself as an institution dedicated to the training of engineers specializing in artificial intelligence, data science, robotics, and related areas. The school focuses on training professionals for the development of technological solutions applied to strategic sectors, such as health, energy, agriculture, and transport, within the framework of Algeria’s digital transformation.
The curriculum at ENSIA integrates subjects related to machine learning, data science, and emerging technologies, with a focus on innovation and scientific research. The second day of Joo Louren§o’s visit to Algeria was also marked by his intervention in the Algerian Parliament, before both chambers of the bicameral legislative body.
During the day, the Angolan President also visited the Fouka 2 Seawater Desalination Plant, located in the province of Tipaza. For Wednesday, the last day of the visit, the agenda includes a trip to the Grand Mosque of Algiers DjamaS El-Djazair.
