Luanda: Angolan Head of State Joo Louren§o congratulated the President-elect of Benin, Romuald Wadagni, on Friday, on his election to the highest office in the country.
According to Angola Press News Agency, a note from the Presidency of the Republic highlighted the Angolan Head of State's message, where he extended his congratulations on behalf of the Executive, himself, and the people and Government of Benin. He commended Romuald Wadagni on his election to the office of President of the Republic of Benin.
The message emphasized that the electoral process in Benin allowed its citizens to express their choice freely and democratically. Joo Louren§o acknowledged the significant responsibility that Romuald Wadagni now holds in steering the country's future and addressing the aspirations of the Beninese people towards progress, prosperity, and well-being. He assured that good decisions will be made to achieve these objectives.
In his message, the Head of State extended his best wishes to the newly elected president in fulfilling his duties, and also wished health and prosperity for the people of Benin.
