Luanda: The State collected 9.85 trillion kwanzas in revenue during the second quarter of 2026, representing 30% of the projected annual revenue, according to the State Budget Execution Report reviewed on Wednesday by the Council of Ministers.
According to Angola Press News Agency, the final communiqu© from the meeting led by the President of the Republic, Joo Louren§o, detailed that expenditures totaled 10.24 trillion kwanzas during the same period, representing an execution rate of 31% of the set annual expenditure.
During the period under review, year-on-year inflation stood at 10.11% in June 2026, a decrease of 9.62 percentage points compared to the 19.73 percent recorded in the same month of 2025. This reduction indicates a significant improvement in the country's economic stability over the year.
Domestic debt service reached 2.54 trillion kwanzas, down seven percent compared to the first quarter of 2026. This reduction in domestic debt servicing costs suggests a positive trend in managing the country's financial obligations.
Meanwhile, payments related to external debt service totaled 3.31 trillion kwanzas, marking an increase of 58% compared to the first quarter of this year. This significant rise in external debt service payments reflects ongoing challenges in managing international financial commitments.
