Luanda: Francisco Shen, the chairman of the Jiangsu General Chamber of Commerce in Angola, has announced a commitment to establishing more companies in Angola with the goal of generating additional employment opportunities for Angolan citizens, particularly in the Icolo and Bengo province. This announcement was made during the inauguration ceremony of the fourth board of directors of the Jiangsu General Chamber of Commerce in Angola, coinciding with the 76th anniversary celebrations of the Mid-Autumn Festival and the founding of the People’s Republic of China.
According to Angola Press News Agency, the Jiangsu General Chamber of Commerce in Angola currently oversees 200 companies engaged in sectors such as agriculture, manufacturing, trade, and distribution. These activities are in line with Angola’s strategy for economic diversification. The presence of these companies has already resulted in the creation of thousands of jobs, with 20,000 positions secured by various companies and shopping malls, leading to an enhanced quality of life for the local population.
Shen highlighted that the focus for the new two-year term would be on developing new areas of activity and further increasing job creation. He emphasized the potential of the Angolan market and extended an invitation to businesspeople to invest more in the country, aiming to capitalize on the promising opportunities it presents.
