Icolo: Angolan Minister of Industry and Commerce Rui Minguªns de Oliveira on Tuesday highlighted the role of the Chinese business community in contributing to the country's economic diversification. The minister made these remarks during the opening of the "Phoenix Bridge" Industrial Complex, which consists of five manufacturing units dedicated to producing construction materials.
According to Angola Press News Agency, the country has gained facilities that meet international standards for production, quality, and safety regarding these products. The minister also praised the variety of goods supplied by the Chinese companies. He noted that this initiative aligns with the Executive's vision of economic diversification, import substitution, and the creation of skilled jobs for citizens.
Furthermore, he thanked the Icolo e Bengo authorities for facilitating the establishment and implementation of projects of this nature, which contribute to domestic production, job creation, and income generation for families. Meanwhile, China's Ambassador to Angola, Zhan Bi, described the initiative as a significant outcome of Chinese companies' active participation in Angola's economic development and of deepening bilateral cooperation in industrial investment.
"China attaches great importance to investment cooperation with the Angolan people and supports companies in deeply participating in Angola's economic diversification process," the diplomat emphasized.
