Luanda: Angolan President Joo Louren§o has appointed Dionsio Manuel da Fonseca as the new Minister of State and Chief of Staff of the President of the Republic, succeeding Ado de Almeida.
According to Angola Press News Agency, a press release from the Press Services of the Presidency of the Republic also announced the appointment of Daniel F©lix Neto as the Minister of Territorial Administration. In a series of governmental changes, President Louren§o dismissed Ado de Almeida from his role and Daniel F©lix Neto from his position as governor of Lunda Sul.
Ado de Almeida, formerly holding the ministerial position, has been appointed by the ruling MPLA Political Bureau as the new Speaker of the National Assembly, taking over from Carolina Cerqueira.
Dionsio da Fonseca, born on March 19, 1982, in Luanda, has an extensive academic and professional background. He holds a Master's degree in Law from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland, and a Master's degree in International Business from the University of Oxford, England. His career includes various professional trainings, notably in Planning and Budgeting Rules at ENAPP and Social Transfer Programs in South Africa.
Fonseca's governmental experience includes serving as deputy governor of the Province of Luanda and legal advisor roles to the Vice-President of the Republic. He was also involved in technical support for legal issues to the Council of Ministers. His previous positions at Sonangol, E.P., and his coordination roles in state programs underscore his expertise.
In addition to his governmental roles, Fonseca was a lecturer at the Faculty of Law of the Agostinho Neto University, contributing to legal, economic, and social sciences education.
