The Ministry of Interior announced in a statement on Tuesday evening that it has been decided to terminate the duties of the director general of the specialised services and the central director of General Intelligence under the General Directorate of National Security. Five dangerous terrorist elements escaped from the Civil Prison in Mornaguia (Manouba govenorate), including those involved in the cases of the assassination of martyrs Mohamed Brahmi and Chorki Belaid, the Interior Ministry had announced on Tuesday morning. Spokesperson for The General Directorate of Prisons and Rehabilitation, Ramzi Kouki, had announced earlier that Minister of Justice Leila Jafal had decided to relieve the director of the civil prison in Mornaguia of duties. «Further decisions are expected, based on the development of ongoing investigation into the escape of five dangerous inmates convicted in terror cases,» he added.
