Expo Cabinda 2026 Generates Kz 1.3 Billion in Business Deals

Luanda: The fourth edition of Expo Cabinda 2026, held in the city from 27 to 30 August, recorded business deals worth 1.3 billion Kwanzas. The announcement was made on Sunday by Cabinda Governor Suzana de Abreu during the event's closing ceremony, which featured 385 exhibitors from both national and international backgrounds. According to Angola Press News Agency, Governor Suzana de Abreu highlighted that the Cabinda International Fair facilitated the creation of 896 jobs, divided between 449 during the construction phase and 447 during the event itself. Furthermore, 21 partnerships were formed between national and foreign companies, and the expo attracted over 20,000 visitors. Governor de Abreu emphasized the importance of translating the partnerships established during the event into tangible outcomes such as new investments, job creation, knowledge transfer, increased production, and enhanced value creation. She noted that the results underscore the initiative's role as a platform for boosting production and economic activity, while also fostering closer ties between suppliers and consumers. Governor de Abreu also reiterated the Provincial Government of Cabinda's commitment to continue providing institutional incentives to improve the business environment. She pointed out that the participation of companies from countries including China, Portugal, Namibia, South Africa, Mozambique, Brazil, DRC, and the Republic of Congo underscored the international reach of Expo Cabinda. The previous edition of the expo, held in August 2025, saw business deals estimated at Kz 1.7 billion.
