Expo Catoca Celebrates 30 Years of Mining Milestones in Luanda

Luanda: Expo Catoca begins on Tuesday in Luanda, celebrating and reflecting on the significant milestones in the mining company's 30-year history. According to Angola Press News Agency, the event, scheduled from the 26th to the 28th, marks the 30th anniversary of Sociedade Mineira de Catoca and the 50th anniversary of national independence. The event aims to emphasize sustainable development, technological innovation, and positive social impact within the communities Catoca operates. Visitors will have the opportunity to engage in an institutional and technological exhibition, participate in thematic panels and conferences, and enjoy business networking sessions and cultural presentations. Operating under the motto 'Here, where diamonds meet community,' Expo Catoca-30 Years will gather strategic partners, government representatives, investors, employees, and special guests. It will also serve as a platform to showcase the company's future projects, reinforcing its status as one of Africa's leading diamond m ining enterprises. Catoca is Angola's largest diamond mining company, managing one of the nation's most vital diamond deposits. Over its three decades of operation, Catoca has significantly contributed to the national economy and championed responsible mining practices.
