Bungo: At least 25 farming families from the village of Quingola Fuxi, in the municipality of Bungo, Uige Province, have been allocated 50 hectares of cultivated land under the Local Program to Support Family Farming (PLAAF). The initiative, led by the Uige Provincial government, seeks to promote sustainable rural development, increase productivity, generate employment, and raise the income of farming families through the distribution of inputs, seeds, and technical support.
According to Angola Press News Agency, the handover of the cultivated land took place during a visit by the municipal administrator of Bungo, Manuela Ima, to three farmers' associations in the village of Quingola Fuxi: Remarca Produ§µes, Domingos da Pausa, and Os Mensageiros. The initiative aims to empower these farming families as partners of the State to boost agricultural production and combat hunger within their households.
During the visit, Manuela Ima encouraged the community to enhance their agricultural output and also handed over agricultural inputs, tools, and sports equipment.
