Luanda: Angolan footballer Bastos Quissanga missed Botafogo's Club World Cup debut in the US, in Sunday night's 2-1 victory over Seattle Sounders at Lumen Field in Seattle, Washington. The centre-back defender has been recovering from an injury on his left knee since the season's kick off, which has kept him out of most of the games played by the Brazilian team. According to Angola Press News Agency, the club's medical department has not released any information on the matter, but in Washington, Bastos is already training with boots, which was not the case during his recovery, and it is expected that he will be ready for the following matches. After winning the first 3 points in this competition's group stage, Botafogo has PSG and Atletico de Madrid to face.
