Luanda: Forty-two exhibitors have registered to participate in the 4th edition of the Technological Innovation Fair (FIT-UGE) 2026, which will take place from May 15th to 16th of this year in the city of Uge, according to the director of the Technological Center, Virglio Cordeiro Joo.
According to Angola Press News Agency, this edition registers an increase of 17 exhibitors compared to the number of participants in the previous fair. These are exhibitors from the provinces of Luanda, Uge, Cuanza-Norte, and Malanje, who will present technological solutions in the areas of technological innovation, e-governance, agribusiness, among other initiatives.
The director of the Uge Technological Center noted that the fourth edition expects the presence of more than five thousand visitors. He emphasized that the event is attracting numerous investors due to the technological innovation initiatives that will be showcased.
He mentioned that, for this edition, the organization will award the three best-ranked participants with laptops and desktop computers, electronics kits, and monetary prizes. Among the award categories, he highlighted “best technological innovation project, e-governance, and agribusiness.” The event will take place under the theme “From the field to digital – The strategic role for the development of agribusiness,” justifying that the theme arises from the Angolan government’s incentive regarding the need to increase national production, ensuring that this is possible through the use of new information technologies.
