Foreign Minister calls for greater efforts to stop aggression against Palestinians

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Migration and Tunisians Abroad, Nabil Ammar, held talks with his Swedish and Danish counterparts, as well as with the Finnish Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs and Defence.

These talks took place on the sidelines of his participation in the 20th North Africa Foreign Ministers Meeting (NAFM) held in Algiers on October 16 and 17.

According to a press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the meetings focused on the situation in the occupied Palestinian territories, the aggression by the occupying forces in the Gaza Strip and the reaction of the international community.

In this context, the Minister stressed the need to intensify efforts to put an immediate end to this aggression, which targets civilians, children and infants. This aggression violates international law, universal values and human rights.

The talks also provided an opportunity to examine ways of further strengthening bilateral cooperation and developing its areas of activity within the framework of European Union mechanisms.

Nabil Ammar also held talks with the Rwandan Foreign Minister during which he called for further consolidation of cooperation between the two countries within the framework of South-South African cooperation, the press release added.
