Foundation Distributes Food, Non-Food Items To Ijara Residents

The Haji Trust Foundation has distributed food and non-food items to destitute residents and orphans in Hulugho, Ijara, and Bothai Sub-Counties as heavy rains continue to pound the region.

Food rations and other essential supplies were airlifted using a helicopter and included rice, beans, cooking oil, mosquito nets, soap, cooking oil, wheat flour, and blankets, which were given out to orphanage centers.

Residents led by Dud Mohamed, Mohamed Hussin Haji, and Abdi Elmoge thanked the foundation for the humanitarian gesture to the destitute and orphans, which they said was a show of empathy and solidarity with the needy.

The foundation is run by the late Yussuf Haji’s sons, Senator Abdul Mohammed and Nordin Haji, who is Director General of the National Security Intelligence Service.
