Luanda: The Ministry of Industry and Commerce clarified on Thursday that the exclusion regime outlined in Article 3 of Executive Decree No. 7/26 of 9 January is applicable solely to industrial units utilizing ferrous and non-ferrous metals as raw materials in their industrial processes.
According to Angola Press News Agency, the Ministry stated in a press release that the exclusivity granted under the decree must be properly documented. It further clarified that materials such as paper, plastic, wood, rubber, and glass are outside the legal definition of ferrous or non-ferrous metals and thus are not covered by the decree.
The Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to uphold legality, transparency, and institutional responsibility, aiming to enhance citizens' trust in state institutions, especially among economic operators. This clarification comes in response to uncertainties regarding the interpretation of Executive Decree No. 7/26, particularly concerning the extent of the exclusion regime's applicability.
