Head of State Congratulates Emperor of Japan on National Day

Luanda: President Joo Louren§o sent a congratulatory message on Tuesday (24) to Emperor Naruhito of Japan, on the occasion of the Asian country's National Day, marked on February 23rd. In the message, the Angolan Head of State expressed joy for the significant date, highlighting Angola's desire to continuously strengthen the cooperation relations for the benefit of both nations' prosperity.

According to Angola Press News Agency, President Louren§o's message conveyed his honor in congratulating Emperor Naruhito and the Japanese people on behalf of the Angolan Executive and himself. The relationships between Angola and Japan, which have been in place since September 1976, are currently experiencing a phase of increasing economic cooperation, particularly focusing on Angola's industrial diversification.

Japan's support is evident in various sectors, including infrastructure, agriculture with an emphasis on rice cultivation, health, and energy. Notable projects include the recent expansion of the electricity grid in the southern region of Angola, which falls under the scope of the partnership.
