Tunis: The regular draw to renew the compositions of the Regional Councils and appoint the new presidents of the local and regional councils will take place on June 1, 2024, from 10 a.m. in the 24 governorates, the Independent High Authority for Elections (ISIE) said.
In a statement published Monday, the Elections body added that the draw will be carried out in accordance with the provisions of its decision No. 16 of 2023.
The ISIE announced, on February 27, the final results of the 2nd round of the local council elections. The first and second rounds took place on December 24, 2023 and February 4, 2024 respectively.
The local councils resulting from these elections were set up on March 1, 2024.
