Candidates running for the local elections, Nouri Khazri and Maher Ayari in the localities of Eddir and Zeftoura North Jendouba delegation started their electoral campaign on Saturday.
Candidate Nouri Khazri s that his priorities focus mainly on bringing public services closer to residents, maintaining roads, fighting against the isolation of his locality, eradicating sedimentary housing as well as developing the irrigated area El Maleh.
As for candidate Maher Ayari, he stressed that his programme focuses on increasing the number of irrigated areas in the region, rehabilitating rural roads, easing access of drinking to his locality , redeveloping the Atteb Primary School and providing school transport to students.
The locality of Eddir has nearly 2,550 inhabitants spread over 2,830 ha and is represented by three candidates.
Two candidates are in the running in Zaftoura which covers an area of 1530 ha and is home to 4,374 people.
