Luanda: Angolan President, Joo Lourenço, has sent a message to his So Toméan counterpart, Carlos Manuel Vila Nova, congratulating him on the commemoration of So Tomé and Príncipe's 51st Anniversary of Independence, marked this Sunday (12). According to Angola Press News Agency, President Joo Lourenço, on behalf of the Angolan Executive and on his own behalf, sent warm congratulations to So Tomé and Príncipe. He highlighted that Angola and So Tomé and Príncipe share a fraternal relationship sustained by historical ties and solidarity acts dating back to their liberation struggles. The message from the Angolan Head of State emphasised the importance of strengthening bilateral cooperation to promote development and well-being for both nations. Joo Lourenço expressed wishes for good health to President Carlos Manuel Vila Nova, as well as peace, progress, and prosperity for the people of So Tomé and Príncipe. Angola and So Tomé and Príncipe have maintained a strategic partnership since the establishment of dipl omatic relations in 1975.
