Jordanian Military Service Consumer Corporation explores Tunisian consumer goods market

A Jordanian delegation, including two delegates from the commercial department of the Jordanian Military Service Consumer Corporation, the largest buyer and supplier of food and industrial products in Jordan, is paying a prospecting visit to Tunisian institutions from October 8 to 13. The Jordanian delegation met with the CEO of the Export Promotion Centre (CEPEX), Mourad Ben Hassine, in Hussein to prepare for the Tunisian Products Week in Amman, which will be organised during November 2023, according to a statement issued by the centre on Monday. The meeting discussed the preparations of the Tunisian and Jordanian sides to organise the fifth session of the Tunisian products week in Jordan at the Jordanian military service consumer corporation market, in conjunction with the tenth session of the Tunisian-Jordanian Joint High Commission, to be held in Amman at the end of November 2023. The Jordanian military service consumer corporation organisation supplies consumer goods to more than 100 shopping centres in Jordan, including more than 20 commercial complexes. Trade and economic relations between Tunisia and Jordan have developed significantly in recent years, as the volume of trade between the two countries exceeded TND 127 million in 2022, compared to TND 107 million in 2021, an increase of 19%. The value of Tunisian exports of food industry products to the Jordanian market amounted to about TND 8.12 million in the first eight months of 2023, distributed among agricultural products such as olive oil, which accounts for 73 percent of Tunisia's total exports. The Tunisian market in September saw the start of the first typical export of a first batch of 25 " pickup " cars manufactured in Tunisia to the Jordanian market.
