KEF: Nearly 6,000 quintals of barley were collected in the governorate of Kef since the start of the harvest season, Engineer at the Regional Union of Agriculture Abdelkarim Hidri.
The harvest was carried out under the best conditions, marked by good maturation of the seeds and a humidity level of the grains not exceeding 12%, he told TAP
Farmers were made aware of the importance of transferring production to approved collection centers, in order to build up barley reserves for next season, as well as firefighting and maintenance of combine harvesters.
