Luanda: Liberia reaffirmed on Friday in Luanda its interest in strengthening bilateral relations with Angola, during an audience granted by the Angolan President Joo Louren§o to the special envoy of the Liberian Head of State.
According to Angola Press News Agency, Luther Tarpeh informed that he conveyed a message from the Head of State of Liberia, Joseph Nyumah Boakai, to the Angolan President. He emphasized that Monrovia admires Angola's progress, especially following the celebrations of the 50th anniversary of National Independence and Angola's presidency of the African Union.
The special envoy highlighted the historical ties of friendship and cooperation between the two countries and expressed the intention to relaunch the bilateral partnership in various fields. Tarpeh noted that the trip to Luanda aims to renew joint efforts to deepen political, economic, and diplomatic cooperation between the two states.
The official stressed that Angola and Liberia have always maintained good relations and considered that there is political will from both leaders to promote a new stage of collaboration. Luther Tarpeh also advocated strengthening exchanges between citizens of the two countries and promoting joint initiatives for the benefit of African development.
The envoy expressed optimism about the future of bilateral relations and stated that he expects fruitful results from cooperation between Luanda and Monrovia.
