Luanda: The Luanda Provincial Government (GPL) has announced a day off starting from 12:00 pm on Friday to acknowledge the commitment and hard work of employees who actively participated in the 50th anniversary celebrations of National Independence.
According to Angola Press News Agency, the decision follows the central event of the National Independence celebrations held in Luanda last Tuesday. The event witnessed extensive participation from both public and private sector workers, who contributed significantly to the civic parade and various organizational tasks associated with the celebrations.
The GPL's statement specifies that shift work activities are excluded from this measure, ensuring that essential services continue to operate as usual. The government emphasizes the workers' dedication and increased efforts, which persist even after the main event, as a key reason for this initiative.
