Lunda-norte: A total of 350,560 hectares of arable land are prepared, in the province of Lunda-Norte, for the 2025/26 agricultural season, with an expected harvest of 2.8 million tons of various products. According to Angola Press News Agency, in the 2024/25 campaign, which involved 211,134 people, some 2.5 million tons of various products were produced in the province. In a statement to ANGOP regarding the agricultural campaign readiness that kicks off in November, the director of the provincial office of agriculture, livestock, and fisheries, Delfim Mussulo, reported that 237,803 families, affiliated with 426 associations and 702 cooperatives, have been mobilized. Among the products to be produced are corn, rice, cassava, peanuts, sweet potatoes, and, in the experimental phase, coffee. He said that the prospect of increasing production levels will be strengthened by the implementation of Field Schools and the start of operations of the Agricultural Station, located in the municipality of Capenda Camulem ba, which has been inactive since its inauguration 15 years ago. The launch of the 2025/26 agricultural campaign in the province of Lunda-Norte will take place on November 7th in the municipality of Xá-cassau.
