Luanda: Lus Caetano was re-elected on Sunday in Luanda for a second term as chairman of the Angolan Sports Press Association (AIDA), covering the four-year term from 2025 to 2029.
According to Angola Press News Agency, the sole candidate was elected with 100% of the votes, representing the provinces of Bi©, Benguela, Cunene, Huambo, Luanda, and Uge. The election process witnessed participation from 38 eligible members of the association.
The voting was conducted both in person and virtually, with Luanda being the only province where members voted in person. This in-person voting took place at an event hosted at the headquarters of the Angolan Handball Federation.
For this new term, Luis Caetano plans to create financial sustainability, attract public and private partnerships, hold the Sports Journalists' Gala, as well as the technical and professional strengthening of members.
