Mahdia – Local elections: Two candidates from the Ouled Chamekh delegation campaigning

Campaigning for the forthcoming local elections (December 24) continues in the governorate of Mahdia, where two candidates, Mounir Mzoughi for the Bou Slim constituency and Lotfi Ben Khelifa for the El Ajilet constituency in the Ouled Chamekh delegation, presented their electoral programmes.

Candidate Lotfi Ben Khelifa put the development of the region’s infrastructure at the centre of his manifesto. He also spoke of the need to open up the region by building new railways and asphalted roads, and promised to work on extending the public lighting network and speeding up work on the Ouled Bouzid dispensary.

For his part, candidate Mounir Mzoughi promised to work to provide school transport for pupils in the area, support poor families and boost the social housing programme, and said that if elected he would also work to connect the Bou Slim road to the Bouhajla delegation in the Kairouan governorate.
