New york: The Minister of Social Action, Family and Woman's Promotion, Ana do Sacramento Neto, participated in an event in New York organized by Zimbabwe's First Lady, Auxilia Mnangagwa. The event aimed to share experiences regarding women's involvement in community activities.
According to Angola Press News Agency, the Permanent Mission of Angola to the United Nations reported that the event featured the country's permanent representative, Ambassador Francisco Jose da Cruz. The meeting took place alongside the 70th session of the Commission on the Status of Women.
The gathering, focused on "Dismantling Structural Barriers to Access to Justice for Women and Girls (Zimbabwe's Experience)," was chaired by Zimbabwe's Minister of Women's Affairs, Communities and Minority Groups, Monica Mutsvangwa. She discussed Zimbabwe's efforts in involving community and civil society to empower women and girls in accessing justice.
Neto recognized the initiatives underway in Zimbabwe and reiterated Angola's dedication to sharing insights from actions led by Angola's First Lady, Ana Dias Louren§o, in advancing gender equality and empowering women to gain access to justice.
